In the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, the 140 hectares of olive groves at Tenuta Casenovole flourish in the areas surrounding the Ombrone River and the territory of the Brunello di Montalcino’s wine. This is a land rich in art and ancient history—first chosen by the Etruscans and later by the Romans—destined to become a region of castles, grand fortified villages, and Medici walls. Here, nature remains wild and unspoiled, offering breathtaking beauty: dense forests, cultivated hills, natural thermal springs, and coastlines with crystal-clear waters. The olive trees of Tenuta Casenovole thrive within this magnificent and complex ecosystem.
Preserving the Native Heritage
We cultivate and nurture a traditional, native Tuscan olive grove: the five thousand historic olive trees of Casenovole shape the landscape at approximately 360 meters above sea level. The native Tuscan cultivars we grow include Leccio del Corno, Maurino, Frantoio, and Leccino. Over time, new varieties of Catalan excellence have joined the landscape, and today, more than 150,000 olive trees thrive on the estate. With more than half of the grove dedicated to Leccio del Corno and Maurino, the estate has also embraced Arbequina, an ancient Spanish variety. The entire cultivation follows organic farming practices.

Respecting the Harvest
We begin harvesting in early October and ensure immediate transport to our mill. Each olive is cold-pressed within four hours of harvest, guaranteeing an exceptional extraction process. State-of-the-art machinery allows us to precisely control the optimal temperature, preserving the oil’s aromas and flavors.
The oil then rests in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature and under nitrogen to maintain its full organoleptic profile. Packaging is handled with cutting-edge pneumatic machines, while every operation at the mill is powered by renewable energy from our proprietary photovoltaic system.
Our Bio-Responsibility
ORGANIC
All crops at Tenuta Casenovole have always been grown under organic farming practices, respecting the land and the ecosystem that sustains them.
TOSCANO IGP
Three-quarters of Tenuta Casenovole’s production proudly carries the Toscano IGP certification, ensuring traceability, authenticity, and the distinctive taste of Tuscany.
ANCIENT VARIETIES
Our commitment to the land extends to our cultivars: the first trees planted were the native Leccio del Corno, Maurino, Frantoio, and Leccino.
